Experience
I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in the State of Illinois. I have over 10 years of experience working in the field of mental health. I have experience in residential treatment, outpatient therapy, spiritual settings, and community mental health. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, at bookstores, and riding my bike along the lakefront. I enjoy spending time with my pet; a Boston Terrier named Oliver-affectionately known as Ollie.
Approach
I want to hear about your story, about your challenges, your strengths, and your life! Stories are what links each of us together, and there is power in telling your story. I believe each story; each moment shared in a session is a sacred experience. In creating a safe place without judgment or fear you can be your authentic self and this is where the work can begin. I tailor therapy to each client. I believe in using many approaches to ensure I am meeting clients where they are in reaching the goals you have set to live a full life. I use the following approaches (but not limited):
- Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Narrative Therapy
- Strengths Based
- Trauma Informed
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
